Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 26, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of Whallet, the personal finance organization service available at wallet.whilehaus.net (the "Service"), operated by Martin Bonafede, Argentine tax ID (CUIT) 20-33215496-7, registered under the simplified tax regime (monotributo), at Av. Rivadavia 5785, floor 15, apartment 1, City of Buenos Aires (postcode 1406), Argentina, trading as Whilehaus ("Whilehaus", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with anything that follows, do not use the Service.
1. What Whallet is (and what it is not)
Whallet is a tool to record, organize and understand your personal finances: accounts, transactions, budgets, investments and crypto, across multiple currencies, with help from artificial intelligence and a connection for AI agents (MCP).
- Whallet is NOT a bank, a payment wallet, or a financial institution. We do not hold your money, and we do not transfer or intermediate your funds.
- Whallet does NOT connect to your bank accounts. The data you see in Whallet is entered by you, imported from your statements, or entered by an AI agent you authorize.
- Whallet does NOT provide financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. The numbers, charts, summaries and any AI-generated output are information for your own organization, not professional recommendations, and they should not replace the advice of a professional.
The currency, stock and crypto prices shown by the Service come from public third-party sources and may be delayed, discontinued or contain errors. We do not guarantee their accuracy and they should not be used as the sole basis for investment decisions.
2. Beta phase
Whallet is in beta: the product is under continuous construction and what you see today may change. By using the Service during the beta you specifically accept that:
- Features, the limits of each plan, and prices may change during the beta and when it ends.
- The current Free plan is not a permanent promise: we do not guarantee that a feature that is free today will stay free, or that the Free plan will exist forever in its current form.
- Access to the Service or to specific features may be expanded, restricted or paused while we refine the product.
- Bugs may exist. We work to keep your data safe and consistent at all times, but during the beta the Service is provided without service level guarantees (SLA) and support is best-effort, with priority for paid plans.
If a change affects you materially (for example, a price change on your paid plan or a significant reduction of the limits of the plan you use), we will notify you with reasonable advance notice by email or within the app.
3. Your account
To use Whallet you need an account. You can create one with email and password, or with Google or GitHub.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- The information you provide when signing up must be your own and must be truthful.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials and any access tokens you generate secret (including tokens and connectors for AI agents). Anything done from your account or your tokens is considered done by you.
- Notify us as soon as you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Plans, pricing and payments
Whallet offers a Free plan and paid plans billed as monthly subscriptions (today: Pro; Pro Smart, coming soon). What each plan includes is described on the pricing page and in Settings.
- Payments are processed by third parties: Mercado Pago for Argentina and Dodo Payments for the rest of the world. Outside Argentina, Dodo Payments acts as Merchant of Record: it is the party that sells you the subscription, issues the invoice and processes refunds under its own policy. We do not store your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel them.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for: you keep Pro access until that date and you are not charged again. We do not issue prorated refunds for periods already started.
- If you purchase from Argentina, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 10 calendar days of subscribing (the statutory "botón de arrepentimiento" withdrawal right): in that case we refund what was charged for that period.
- Prices may change (see "Beta phase"). If the price of your active subscription goes up, we will notify you before it applies to your next charge; changes are never retroactive.
If a payment fails or a subscription expires, your account moves to the Free plan with its current limits. You do not lose your data by moving to a lower plan.
5. Advertising on the Free plan
The Free plan may display third-party advertising (today: a single Google AdSense ad at the end of the content). Paid plans do not show advertising and do not load the ad provider scripts.
We never use your financial data (transactions, balances, accounts) to target advertising, and we never sell or share it with advertisers. The details of the cookies the ad provider may use are in the Privacy Policy.
6. AI, agents and your own keys (BYOK)
Whallet integrates with artificial intelligence services and exposes an MCP server so AI agents (such as Claude) can read your wallet and, with your explicit permission, write to it.
- You decide which agents you connect and with what permissions (read-only tokens, write tokens, PIN, approvals). You are responsible for the use those agents make of your account, and each agent provider handles your data under its own policies.
- If you use features with your own AI provider keys (BYOK), that provider’s costs are on you and its service is governed by its own terms.
- AI can make mistakes: review the records an agent enters on your behalf. Whallet shows you what the AI did and lets you undo it, but the final responsibility for your numbers is yours.
- We may apply reasonable usage limits (rate limits) to the API and the MCP server to protect the platform.
7. Your data and your content
The data you enter into Whallet (transactions, accounts, notes, receipts) is yours. We do not sell it and we do not use it to train AI models.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host and process that data for the sole technical purpose of providing you the Service (for example: storing it, displaying it to you, calculating totals, generating the summaries you request).
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you (or your agents) enter. You can export your data and request deletion of your account at any time. The details of what we store, where and for how long are in the Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable use
Use Whallet for what it is: organizing your own finances, or those of someone who authorized you to manage them. The following is not allowed:
- Using the Service for illegal activities, including money laundering or concealing funds of illicit origin.
- Attempting to access other users’ accounts or data, compromising the security of the Service, or overloading it (abusive scraping, flooding the API or the MCP server).
- Copying, reselling, sublicensing or passing off the Service as your own, or reverse engineering it except where the law allows it.
- Uploading content that infringes third-party rights.
We may suspend or limit accounts that violate these rules, with notice except in urgent cases (for example, active abuse against the platform).
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Whallet available and fast, but the Service is offered "as is" and may experience interruptions due to maintenance, provider failures or causes beyond our reasonable control.
Whallet is under continuous development: we may modify, add or remove features of the Service. If we remove something you used substantially, we will try to notify you in advance and give you the chance to export whatever is relevant.
10. Termination
- You can close your account at any time from Settings or by writing to us. Closing your account means your data is deleted according to the timelines in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms or if the law requires it. If it is due to a breach, no refund is owed for the current period.
- We may deactivate Free accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months, with prior notice by email and reasonable time to reactivate the account or export your data.
- If we ever discontinue the Service, we will do so with reasonable prior notice and time to export your data.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, its code, design, trademarks and content (excluding your data) belong to Whilehaus or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service to you; they only grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive right to use it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of data.
- We are not liable for financial, investment or tax decisions you make using information from the Service.
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss caused by third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liabilities that cannot legally be limited (such as willful misconduct) or rights that the consumer protection law of your country grants you in a non-waivable way.
13. Indemnity
You will hold Whilehaus harmless from third-party claims arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the law, including damages and reasonable defense costs.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or within the app with reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use the Service after the change’s effective date means you accept it; if you disagree, you can close your account before that date.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Argentina. Any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that establish a different jurisdiction or competent authority for your case.
16. Miscellaneous
- If any clause of these Terms turns out to be invalid, the rest remains in force.
- If we do not enforce a right at a given moment, that does not mean we waive it.
- You may not assign your account or these Terms; we may assign them as part of a reorganization of the studio that does not reduce your rights.
- Neither party is liable for failures caused by force majeure.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Whilehaus regarding the Service.
